Today is the day to keep your heads down and your eyes wide open !

Some hefty pieces of Made In The USA space junk just might be coming "home".

To screwily twist and paraphrase a famous Shakespearean line:

"We shot some space junk in the air... where It lands, we know not where !"

Vanishing Cruise Ship Passengers

Now this is weird... at least 165 people have vanished from luxury cruise ships worldwide... during the cruises... since 1995 !

Granted, that is only about 11 people per year... but, HEY... that's 11 people every year!!!

The report gives no answers... only speculations about falling overboard accidents, or maybe suicidal acts, or maybe even foul play as bad as pushing someone overboard.

They just don't know... still BIG unsolved mysteries !

I've been on several cruises over the years... (my favorite was the 2-week Disney Mediterranean trip)... and I can tell ya...

from now on, I'm carrying a life jacket with me at all times wherever I go on a cruise!

U.S. Stocks Tumble... Again !

Here we go again !

The stock markets are getting slapped around again... in the U.S. and worldwide !

Can't us poor, regular slobs... who are small time investors in stocks... EVER catch a break ???

Down another 391 points yesterday !!!

Most countries around the world revolve around what happens in the U.S. economy... and it ain't pretty at all !

President Obama needs to get on the ball... (NO... NOT the golf ball)... and get some workable job-creating programs going in America.

He needs to stop playing golf...
stop playing at being President...
and quit pushing his job-killing "agendas" !

Get us some American jobs, Mr. President !!!

GOP Debate In Florida

Well, verbal punches were thrown all night.

With Governor Perry and former Governor Romney taking most of the air time...

all the candidates were slugging it out and trying to throw verbal mud on each other in "sound bite" chunks.

I don't care what they say or said or are gonna say...

they just need to get somebody solid who will soundly DEFEAT OBAMA and his wayward, haphazard policies in 2012 !!!

NASA Debris To Fall To Earth Soon:

Maybe we need to drive around in one of the old Army tanks like the one shown above for the next couple of weeks!

To quote a famous little bird:

Chicken Little said, "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!"

Sorta true... a school bus-sized hunk of extinct space satellite will fall to Earth on or about 23 SEP 2011... while breaking into about 26 firy chunks of metal.

NASA reassures us that the odds of some debris hitting a person on the ground are about 3,200-to-1... about the same as some little lotto drawing wins... and nobody ever wins those, right ?

So, keep your heads down and your eyes open... and go check out that Army tank just in case.

Hillary Gets A Favorable Polling:

Uh-Oh... last week's Bloomberg Poll shows Hillary Clinton, the current Secretary of State for Obama, received a nearly 65% favorable rating in general.

This is up quite a bit from last year's poll rating of about 50% favorable rating.

With President Obama's approval ratings at about 45% (and declining), he better watch his Democratic back.

You never know when the DNC just might want to work a history-making "trade-in"...
trade in the first Black President and pick up the first Woman President !

U.S. Postal Service Has Troubles:

With stamped mail volume and sales down by nearly 36% in the past 5 years, the US Postal Service is facing default.

They are at or near their borrowing ceiling limit... and they have a giant bill payment due in a few weeks... that they can't make the payment on.

The USPS is facing the closure of hundreds of facilities, the reduction in days of delivery, and the slashing of up to 35,000 postal employees.

Of course, the Unions and the Democrats are screaming for Federal "Bailout" money... while Republicans are telling the USPS to trim down and cut costs to make their payment obligations.

I say... the USPS (and all government agencies) need to start running their offices like we have to run our home budgets... with our spending (outflow) being less than our income (inflow)!

Then, maybe... we might look at a temporary, small scale bailout... but not till cuts take place.

U.S Stocks Gain Most Since 1930s On Bank Plan; Dow Gains 936.

Stock markets around the world flew upward like crazy today! It seems the thought of a world-wide plan/agreement this past weekend set some investors' minds at ease.

I don't know yet, though...

Is this really a sign of the "bottom" or is today just another day of speculators "betting" on a huge swing and being right for a change. If that latter is the case, then selloffs (and a further, lower bottom) will occur when the speculators take their huge profits.

I think I'll wait and see for a few more days before I jump back in and buy much more stock.

You might want to be a little cautious yourself, too !

A flip-flop and change in direction is apparently called for to get at the bigger chunk of populist votes in the middle.

How can Sen. Obama call Hillary Clinton's economic plan "disastrous" and then 6-months later adopt it pretty much as his own divine plan???

What ever plays to the crowd and makes a media splash headline or two, I suppose!

And so it goes...
Wake up America... we conservatives need to take the "lesser of the two evils"...
and that is NOT Sen. Obama as President !!!

Oh, and instead of resigning, he is hitting his reelection trail just a little bit harder! And his wife stands dutifully beside him...

THAT is a bunch of CRAP... she should kick his adulterous butt to the curb and get her a respectable husband... AFTER she takes the Congressman for all he's worth!

I guess some guys are just budgeting their "entertainment" expenses a little better in New York lately! They've apparently got their priorities in order.

Maybe the world's oldest profession is doing a "service" for the country by relaxing the panicky investors and relieving tensions (certain ones, that is) on Wall Street.

It's at least good to hear that American workers somewhere are doing a brisk business and keeping busy... even without a big government bailout.

Don't talk too loud about this, though...
the government might hear you and want to buy into this "business" too!

(Come to think of it... there's not much overhead and there usually IS a profit... that would sure be a different story for our U.S. Government)

McCain Letter Demanded 2006 Action On Fannie And Freddie.

Finally... there is something in writing that shows the Senate Republicans were worried and warning colleagues about the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac bad possibilities TWO YEARS ago!

Now, how is Sen. McCain going to get this point across to the American public in the next 3 weeks? I don't think he can count on the big media or his fellow senators to help him.

AND he needs to start getting angrier ...and ANGRIER ...about this during this week's Presidential debate!

During the next debate, Sen. McCain needs to bring up this letter (that was signed by only Republicans) and flat out confront Sen. Obama by asking him why he personally, and none of his Democrat buddies, would not agree to sign this warning letter.

Start putting Sen. Obama on the back-peddling, excuse-making, white-washing defensive for a change! Start naming names and tell how you, as President, would investigate, pursue, and prosecute those individuals found guilty of running this economy into the gutter for the sake of their own greedy, money-grubbing profit.

Get MAD ...and put Obama on the defense!!!

Put this huge "economic monkey" on the backs of the Democrats... right where the majority of the blame really belongs!

Boise Gets Earliest Snow On Record.

Gosh, I guess we won't hear much about this from the Global Warming crowd.

The earliest recorded snowfall in Boise, Idaho since 1898... when they began keeping records!
Not just a dusting either... at least 1.7 inches of heavy wet snow with 25-40 mph winds to boot!

This kinda goes along with the premature 14 inches of snow the mountains near Denver got a few days ago.

Sounds more like Global "Cooling" to me... but, then again, I'm no Global Warming "scientist".

Gov. Sarah Palin kept up the pressure on Sen. Obama yesterday at a Pennsylvania rally.

Using straight talk, she pointed out that a vote for Obama is a vote for activist courts... and she said Sen. Obama's ideas and votes favoring abortion are "radical".

There is a lot at stake here. It was simply "Right-To-Life" versus "Pro-Choice".

Now, which way do you think the fetus... (the unborn human baby, that is)... would vote if he/she were only given the chance to continue growing up?

Go, Go Governor Palin...

Many Convicted Felons Remain On Voter Rolls.

Just great... the swing-state of Florida still has 30,000+ convicted felons on their voter rolls!

These folks should have been barred from voting and yet, due to bureaucratic backlogs (and/or bumbling), ...they may have a chance to greatly swing Florida to the Democrats in November.

The felons tend to vote (illegally) or are registered to vote at a 2-to-1 Democrats over Republicans percentage.

Between this oversight and the enmasse voter registrations recently dumped on Florida (and many other states) by the ACORN Group...
we are facing big possibilities of political voter-fraud lawsuits before and after the election.

What a fine mess "we" have gotten ourselves into... with no way out in sight!

Obama Rejects McCain's Mortgage Buyup Plan.

Okay, okay... so now Sen. Obama steps back and tries to poo-poo Sen. McCain's plans for mortgage, economic, and health care reforms. He tries to shoot holes in all of McCain's proposals.

Now, that's okay... if... he can propose something that he thinks is better! If he has something better than let him lay it out for us to see... if not... maybe he (Obama) should keep a more open mind and try to make something or some parts of a plan work for a change.

It's easy to take potshots at somebody else... but not so easy to stick your own neck out on the chopping block, eh? The start of a remedy plan is much better than no plan at all.
