- California May Ask U.S. For A Loan
(NY Times, 3 OCT 2008)
I don't mean to sound totally heartless, BUT... get outta here! Every State has a constitution that directs them to have a balanced budget yearly... so QUIT spending your money on overpriced, overprotected, outrageous State programs, projects and whimsies! The way a budget is supposed to work... Calculate how much income you will have for the period --- spend ONLY that much money (or even less) = Balanced Budget !!! It's not brain surgery... just simple old-school math. Everyone needs to STOP asking for freebie handouts... suck it up... and live within YOUR OWN means.

- O'Reilly Blasts Barney Frank For Fannie Mess
(Drudge Report, 3 OCT 2008)
Go get 'em, Bill O'Reilly... nail somebody to the wall for this outrageous crap! There is enough blame to go around in both political parties... but at least one of the worst culprits got called out on the carpet in public for their part in it! Fire them all and let's elect a whole new batch... they can't be any more crooked than the ones we have entrenched in Washington DC now!

- VP Candidates Hit Their Marks
(Wall Street Journal, 3 OCT 2008)
After weeks of buildup where Sen. Joe Biden was praised as the great mature orator who would trounce the bumbling bimbo Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin in debate... it's all over with a veritable TIE. Pre-debate expectations were high for Sen. Biden and moderate for Gov. Palin... both having pressure to perform well on TV. It was entertaining and Senator Biden made few minor mistakes and stayed courteous throughout... Gov. Palin was also knowledgable, effective and confident much to the dismay of her recent media "executioners". I would say let's have a biden vs. McCain debate next week... followed by a Palin vs. Obama debate (now THAT would be a debate not to miss) !!!
