Once the cold-blooded killer is convicted, there should be no "lily-livered" sentiment about giving the guy life in prison in one of Illinois's cush prisons.

There should be... if there was "true" justice in Illinois... an application process for those thousands of people who would gladly pull the trigger on this killer and put a 50-cent bullet in his brain.

No, you're right, killing this scum will not bring back Jennifer's mother or brother (and possibly nephew)... BUT...
1) it goes a long way toward closure and justice for her and her family
2) Illinois taxpayers don't have to keep paying for this killer to live, eat and breathe till he dies or gets paroled

It should be noted that Robert Shrum was a chief campaign strategist for Al Gore in 2000 (who lost)... and then for John Kerry in 2004 (who also lost)... can there maybe be some sour-grapes or chip-on-the-shoulder viewpoints here?


This same Robert Shrum, in the following two sentences, exhibits all the characteristics of the mud-slinging, cry-baby, and hate-filled biases of the current Democratic campaign:

"Democrats, scarred by the stolen election of 2000 and the near miss of 2004, privately worry, wring their hands and, traveling cyberspace’s vast expanse, trip over a discouraging word, poll, or prediction. This e-mail gave the mass media suggested ways to "couch" what they would hear when they (the media) regurjitated sound bites to their TV, Newspaper, Website, and Radio audiences.

AND now... as I listen to Katie Couric leading her "debate" after the Debate, she is getting a lot of "John McCain did much better tonight" answers.

AND she sure didn't sound happy to have to acknowledge these McCain-positive comments.

Oops... now Katie is trying to get someone to agree with her that Sen. McCain was sort of disrespectful and rolling his eyes at Obama statements. The guy wouldn't bite though... good for him.

Gov. Romney was correct that she should also give more public appearances... BUT...
